Basic Authentication

In this article, you can find out how to use Basic Authentication with your notifications. You will be able to pass the authorisation header with username and password in webhook notifications. This feature elevates security to a higher level for your Paydock account by supporting Basic Authentication protocols for encoding webhook headers. Please keep in mind that this feature can only be used with webhook notifications.

Set Up a New User Auth:

  1. Log into your Paydock Production or Sandbox account.
  2. Navigate to Notifications from the menu on the left.
  3. Go to the User Auth tab and press the Add New button.

  4. Fill out the necessary fields and press the Add New button.

Note: The username and password should consist of a minimum 1 character and maximum 100 characters.

Once saved, a new User Auth set-up can be applied to a new webhook notification while creating it.

Remove/Edit existing User Auth

  1. Log into your Paydock Production or Sandbox account.
  2. Navigate to Notifications from the menu on the left.
  3. Go to the User Auth tab and press the Actions button near the needed set-up.

  4. Press Delete if you would like to remove the Basic Auth and confirm once you are comfortable with the change.

  5. Press Edit if you would like to update the details and confirm the warning once updated.
