Fee Profiles
Fee Profiles within the Master Merchant Platform are used to define a set of fees you will charge the Sub Merchant for using your services. Once you have created a Fee Profile, you can link these to any of your Sub Merchant accounts and create multiple Fee Profiles for different commercial arrangements.
Create a new Fee Profile
To create a new Fee Profile, please follow the next steps:
- Log into your Paydock Master Merchant Production or Sandbox account;
- Go to Fee Profiles in the Profile menu;
- Switch to the Add New section.
- Fill out the following fields under the Fee Profiles section:
- Fee Profile Label - the name of this particular fee profile. This is just for your reference and is not exposed to the Sub Merchant.
- Default Fee Currency - the currency which will be used for the profile.
- The next step is setting up conditions under the Fees section. Complete the fee structure by providing the following information:
- Label - the name of this particular Fee.
- Entity - This is a list of items for which the fee will be created. You may choose between these options:
- Transaction
- Vault
- Gateway
- Custom
- Activity type - This is a drop-down list with any of the following Paydock activity types:
- Action
- Lifetime
- Start of period
- Action - This is a list of any Paydock Actions which will attract a fee. For example, you can choose the fee action for using a Gateway or for any of the other Actions supported by your Master Merchant facility.
- Fee type - This is a list of any fee type in the system. You may choose between these options:
- Flat fee
- % of amount
- % of % of amount
Edit an existing Fee Profile
To edit a Fee Profile or view the details, please follow these steps:
- Log into your Paydock Master Merchant Production or Sandbox account;
- Go to Fee Profiles in the Profile menu;
- From the See All section you can see all the created profiles.
- Please click on the Actions > Edit to edit the profile. From this page, you will also be able to check the Fees under this profile by pressing the Check Rule button.
- Click on Actions > Edit to check the information of the profile and make any changes you wish.
- Once the changes are made, click on the Save as button to create a new fee profile. The existing fee profile will remain unchanged. If an edited Fee Profile is not saved to a new one, a new Fee Profile will not be created.
Assign a Fee Profile to a Sub Merchant
To assign the Fee Profile to a Sub Merchant, please follow these steps:
- Log into your Paydock Master Merchant Production or Sandbox account.
- Go to Merchants in the Profile menu.
- Find the relevant merchant profile.
- Click on Actions > Manage Fee Profiles.
- Select the Apply Fee Profile button to open the form and choose a Fee Profile and intervals.
The first time you assign a Fee Profile to a Sub Merchant there will be no Fee History. In order to track the Fee History, please click on the Create Fee History button.
Remove a Fee Profile from a Sub Merchant
You can remove a Fee Profile from a Sub Merchant account if they have a status of active or next. To do so please follow these steps:
- Log into your Paydock Master Merchant Production or Sandbox account.
- Go to Merchants in the Profile menu.
- Find the relevant Merchant account.
- Click on Actions > Interrupt.
Check a Fee Profile history
If you would like to check the Fee Profile history of your Sub Merchants, please follow these steps:
- Log into your Paydock Master Merchant Production or Sandbox account.
- Go to Merchants in the Profile menu.
- Find the relevant merchant profile.
- Click on Actions > Manage Fee Profiles.
- From here, you can choose the relevant Fee Profile and the Period for it.
Download a Fee Profile report
To download a report for completed and interrupted periods for a Sub Merchant, follow these steps:
- Log into your Paydock Master Merchant Production or Sandbox account.
- Go to Merchants in the Profile menu.
- Find the relevant merchant profile.
- Click on Actions > Manage Fee Profiles.
- From here, you can choose the relevant Fee Profile and Period.
- Click on Actions > Show Details.
- Download the report by clicking the Download report button.
